What We Do
At Kingston Krafts, we believe furniture is the most important design aspect of the home. It is what speaks to you when you enter a room. When you order a product from Kingston Krafts for your home or business, we want you to look at that piece every day and love it. Which is why the design, functionality, structural integrity, and finish durability are the most important aspects of our production process.
Our process is simply explained, because we do things the old-fashioned way, while using modern technology. We use the newest cutting edge German engineered hand tools for sanding and joinery. Each piece is made to order and quick ship products are made in small batches. Our artisans mill the rough lumber, join the parts, assemble, and then finish. Each process takes a set of talented and experienced hands. So while it may not get to you quickly, we promise it will be worth the wait.
We use eco-friendly products including low and zero VOC paints, stains, and sealers. As well as formaldehyde free glues and FSC certified plywood for the core of our zinc tops. We source sustainably harvested new lumber from New England. Our reclaimed lumber is actual authentic barn wood from old barns throughout the Midwest and Northeast. Our steel work is all made from American recycled steel and welded right here in the USA.
Kingston Krafts is an e-commerce based business. However, if you are in the Southern New England area, we do invite you to visit our workshop in Providence, RI. We are open the public by appointment. You won’t find a fancy carpeted gallery. Instead, you’ll walk into a workshop in a 100-year-old mill filled with pieces in production and completed pieces that are awaiting delivery. We also have large sized finish samples for you to view. If you don’t mind the smell of saw dust and the buzzing sound of artisans and their tools, give us a call and schedule a visit. We’d love to meet you.
